From a card table in a garage to Goodwood's game venue.
In 2019, founder Oliver Bennett started hosting Friday-night card evenings for friends in a Goodwood garage. Word spread, the guest list grew, and the nights took on a life of their own — themed dress codes, improvised trophies, and a strict no-phones-at-the-table rule that made every evening feel like an event.
Happyexplorer opened its doors at 8 Kneebone St to give that spirit a permanent home: a brick-and-mortar venue where casino-style game evenings, game parties and social club nights are staged with professional hosts, curated dining and live entertainment — all face-to-face, all offline.
Today our team of hosts, stylists and kitchen partners runs more than 300 private events a year, from intimate table nights to full-venue takeovers for 80 guests.
